  1. I quit alcohol in June 2009 – and feel better now at 51 then I did at 31 🙂 – and adding to your list….for me, an important factor was having a clear mind. I am Buddhist and meditate…a clear mind free of the fog created by drinking alcohol and its effects, literally helps me to see things as they really are…Cheers! Stephanie

    • Wow congrats, that’s fantastic 🙂 I would definitely agree with your point about having a clear mind. Buddhism and meditation is something that really appeals to me, I’ve just never been sure how to go about finding out more… I guess now is a good opportunity! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, and well done again 🙂

  2. I used to be a (very) heavy occasional drinker and this year, I stopped. I’ve been sleeping better also!
I really like your writing style. I hope you can follow me and be a critic of my blog too. I plan to update it regularly.
    Thank you 🙂

  3. I am a recovering addict and I very much enjoy your site. I love the layout of this blog by the way, it’s very creative! It is the message you bring that means so much because your blogs can apply to the casual social drinker as mentioned above right to a recovering junkie like me! I read many blogs on your site and it is wonderful that you are sharing because I could identify and relate. Very good job, great material, Please continue to blog!
